Description
The Superiorland Nordic Ski Club offers a range of youth Nordic ski programs designed to meet the needs of skiers of all ages and ability levels.
The Ski Cats program is designed for younger children (ages 5-10) and introduces them to cross-country skiing through games and activities, with an emphasis on having fun and developing a love for the sport.
The Middle School Team is designed for intermediate skiers (ages 11-13) who are interested in developing their technique, endurance, fitness and skills while participating in local races. The program includes on-snow and dryland training, as well as opportunities to compete at local races.
The Race Team is designed for more high school skiers (grades 9-12) who are interested in competing at a higher level, with opportunities to compete at regional and national races, while also participating in local races. The program has two levels, the "High School" level and the "Junior National" level. The High School level focuses on local racing, while the Junior National level prepares skiers to compete in regional and national events. The program includes advanced training techniques, video analysis, and a focus on developing the physical and mental skills necessary for success in competition.
In addition to Nordic skiing, the club also offers a Kids Running Club program that introduces children to the sport of running and helps them develop basic fitness and endurance skills.
All of the club's youth programs are led by experienced coaches who are dedicated to creating a positive and supportive atmosphere for young athletes to learn and grow. The club also provides opportunities for skiers of all ages and ability levels to participate in clinics, group outings, and other fun events throughout the ski season.
Overall, the Superiorland Nordic Ski Club's youth programs provide young athletes with a comprehensive and supportive environment in which to develop their cross-country skiing skills and foster a lifelong love of the sport.
