The Ishpeming Ski Club was founded in 1887 and is one of the oldest ski clubs in the United States. The club is located in Ishpeming, Michigan, which is known as the "birthplace of organized skiing" in America. The club has a long history of promoting and supporting cross-country skiing and ski jumping in the region. In fact, the club's Suicide Hill Ski Jumping Complex has hosted numerous national and international competitions, including the 1998 Junior Olympic Games.

The Youth Nordic Combined Program is designed for athletes aged 7-11 who are interested in both cross-country skiing and ski jumping.
